A
broad empowerment policy aime not only at the upliftment of the
previously disadvantaged, but also at gender and internal emplyee
empowerment, is in place.
85% of the Corporation's employees are from the designated groups
as defined by the Employment Equity Act and a total of 90% of the
workforce is women. |

addition, the Corporation has suceeded in the creation of numerous
small business enterprises through the empowerment of previous
employees, to full ownership and management of these businesses
which act as CMT contractors to the Corporation.
Accreditation received from various organisations in the corporate
field is a measure of the successful implementation of these policies.
